Use Strong Paswords for Crypto Currency. Just because the accounts you are going to be creating don’t contain your bank details, doesn’t mean to say we should be just as careful with your passwords.
Should you choose not to have unique passwords, then a single breach could expose all of your accounts.
Now probably the most secure thing you could do is write them all in a book. The other option you have is to record them in a document or spreadsheet. Both have their inherent vulnerabilities such as being lost, stolen or damaged.
A more convenient way is to have your browser store them. But if your browser is breached or contains security vulnerabilities, you could be exposing all of your passwords. Should you want to use a browser then Chrome is pretty good for storing passwords, they will be saved to your google account, so will migrate from desktop, to phone or tablet quite easily.
I’d recommend using a Password Manager such as RoboForm, it can generate very secure passwords all different for each and every site. It can also bookmark for you and log you in with the click of a button, highly recommended as you’ll probably have 100’s of accounts!
You’ll never need to remember or type your passwords again. How amazing is that and it’s FREE!
Extensions for All Major Browsers such as Chrome and Firefox. I must say it works a treat for me.
Strong Encryption to obfuscate your Passwords
To protect against dictionary, brute force, or other attacks, RoboForm uses AES 256 bit encryption with PBKDF2 SHA256. Decryption is at the local, device level only. Your decryption key never hits our server.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to protect your Passwords
Add an extra layer of protection to your account. RoboForm supports TOTP based authentication apps including Google Authenticator, Authy, and Microsoft Authenticator.
